Trawling in the Lake

In celebration of National Family History Month the Lake Macquarie FHG will be hosting a free Zoom session open to all on Friday 28 August between 7pm and 8pm.

Hosted by our President with support from LMFHG members the presentation via Zoom, Trawling in the Lake: resources for family history research in the Lake Macquarie area,  will examine our local area and give details of local print and online resources for finding ancestors in the Lake Mac area.

Many Australians have a connection to the Lake Macquarie area which was first settled by Europeans in 1825, today there is a population of  over 200,000 in the Lake Macquarie Local Government area.

The Lake Macquarie Family History Group invites you to a free online event via Zoom  to learn about local print and online resources to research your Lake Mac ancestors. The session will be presented by Jill Ball, President of the Group.

Bookings are necessary for this free event.
