Essential Supplies
On Monday 5th November 1951 the Waterside Workers held their annual picnic at Blackalls Park. The Picnic was for the workers and their families. They took with them on the picnic:
6500 ice creams,
250 gallons of ginger beer (946 litres)
4 cwt. of sweets (203 kilograms) and an ambulance bearer.
