Fund Raising

We need to raise funds to run our organisation as membership fees do not cover all our expenses. On Sunday 25th June we will be holding a major fund-raising event at Bunnings, Glendale.

The Humble Sausage

The members of our group are getting organised for their fund-raising barbecue at Bunnings, Glendale on Sunday 25th June.

As we will be serving sausage sandwiches we searched Hunter area newspapers on Trove and found a few articles about the humble sausage.

Government Gazettes on Trove

While the Newspapers on Trove provide a wealth of genealogical information the Government Gazettes there can also assist in locating your ancestors.

A simple search for the word Fennell returns some interesting information on Lake Mac People.

In 1883 a report of Arson at Alexander Miller's property.

Among the properties listed for sale in 1934 by the Lake Macquarie Council were some at Fennell Bay. These auctions took place on a regular basis. These notices provide owners' names and addresses.
